Chef Nelson Millán

Nelson Millán is a well-known chef born and raised in Puerto Rico. Chef Millán began his prestigious career after winning several awards and completing an internship with Hilton Hotels. His first job was with Hotel Del Coronado as their Chef Garde Manger, where he was quickly promoted to Chef du Cuisine at their numerous restaurants. After his time in Coronado, Chef Millán moved to South Florida, where he spent time creating Latin American cuisine combined with French techniques. After his time in Florida, he moved to Georgia to open the New Beach Club at The Cloister Sea Island. Since 2010, Chef Millán has been with the San Antonio Country Club. Here, he teaches Latin Caribbean Cuisine courses at the Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio.

This August, distinguished chef Nelson Millán will be bringing his skill in the kitchen to The Leland Lodge. During his time with us, he will be mentoring our kitchen staff and providing dinner for our final Wine Series of the Summer with Palmaz Vineyard. We look forward to his expertise!
